thanks
I don't understand why my picture is still very blue and opaque.
If the screen doesn't show the way it supposed to be, try out click the number 4,5,6 key on your keyboard. It might shift the screen view to clouds view, non color view or clouds split view. :)
Try out 4 5 6 number keys on your keyboard. It will shift your screen to three view non-colored view, cloud view, cloud split view. :)

good tutorial.... it worked really good.... thanx man ...
very nice & easy , thank's for the cloud's
how to make the grid on the clouds and sky to disappear during animation?
good cloud maya tutorial
Nice tut, i follwed the whole thing and works fine, but how to get them moving ?
pres "6" to see them as clouds, but i couldn't maneg to make the render options, so the totorial sucks :( and i was so thrild when i found it, if some one can heklp mewith this....
I went up to step nine and the clouds stayed as a solid block, how do you make them look like real clouds.
very nice tutorial, thanks
thanks alot for taking your time to share your knowlege, i and many of us really appreciate it. keep up the good work! /Adam
I think instead of 0.85 in both points at about step 9, the points should actually be .02 and .85 these settings work in final render ! rest will say a good tut.
For you to see the clouds in step #9 you need to make sure that you turn-on hardware texturing so that you can see the clouds...go to Shading -> Hardware Texturing under the scene view menu.
thankx good and i try it..
tutorial sucks, followed it EXACTLY and the clouds work great, but the sky is a complete flop. Doesn't render in the preview window NOR in the actual render. Step 9 must be missing something, because that screenshot does NOT show what happens with the steps given. Any help please mail bokunoshijun@yahoo.com
thanx so much
I followed this tutorial and everything seems perfect up till step #9 the sky section. Mine doesn't show the clouds in the "air" volume like the picture. Then when I render everything is in a light blue "fog or haze". Everything is washed out not at all like the final image. Also, what direction is the camera facing for the final render? Is it placed in the cloud bank? Is it shot from the bottom or top or sides? This is a 3D volume so should be able to get similar results moving around in the clouds right? What about the rendering settings? Could I be missing something there? I think its something missing around step #9 mine looks the same but the air is too "thick and opaque". :-( M

good work
How does this tutorial differ from the default clouds from the visor built into maya? It seems like you've simply copied a default setting and made a 'tutorial' out of it....
