Pixologic Announced ZBrush 3.0 - Available on May 15th, 2007Pixologic has announced ZBrush 3.0. New version supports 32 and 64-bits OS for Widnows and Mac and heaps of new exciting features. Check out demo video for some of the exciting new features here: Features List derived from video: 1. Much faster speed than previous versions. 2. Added real-time shadows, real-time material capture and render. (Looks like you can put a picture in your ZBrush workspace and directly grab texture and material information from the picture to your 3d models!) 3. Advanced "Digital Caly" with up to one billion polygons using HD geometry. 4. Real-time pose with ZBrush's Transpose functionality. yES, IT means once you have done the modeling, such as a creature character, you can pose them in whatever ways you like. And you can also add props like sword or chair as digital sets for your character. 5. 2D Projection Master is great, but 3D Projection is Magic! You can turn your model to different sides for projecting textures in Real-time now. No more "Project-PickUp-Project-PickUp" workflow. Now it is all about real-time and intuitive workflow. 6. One-click turntable recording and quicktime export 7. Support for both 32 and 64 bit systems 8. Mutithreaded support for up to 256 processors (If you could have that money to buy those processors :-) ) and much more... From Pixologic: "The Windows version will be released on May 15th, the release date for the Macintosh version will be announced following the release of the Windows version. The upgrade to version 3 will be free of charge to all registered users (including new users who will register before the next release)." http://www.pixologic.com |
