Lighting 3 lights are set up for the main objects in the scene. One spotlight as the keylight with warm color, one point light in the back to cast the blue color light from top right side to give some interesting lighting. Another spotlight at the right lower corner to give some slight illumination so the bottom right corner of the image is not too dark. The 4th light is anothe point light to control the lighting on the wall. |

Rendering For rendering, I just used two layers. One is the Beauty Pass and another is Occlusion Pass. You can easily use Maya's Render layer control taht locates just near by the Layer panel to get these two passes. It also has many presets for Occlusion, Diffuse, Shadow, Specular, etc. |

As you can see, it is really no need to go for a million polygons for details. A simple bump map sovles a lot of problems. Enjoy. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a email. Thanks. |

Download Scene File Here: bump_map_scene.zip (Note: The zip file contains the bump map and color map for the bell. But the wall texture is not included. The HDRI map used is also not included. But you can always find one and connect them right into the scene. Any suggestions, just drop me an email. Thanks for reading!) |
